7TH PAY SCALE: 30% INCREMENTS, EARIER ANNOUNCEMENT SOON, INCREMENT FROM 1ST JULY

After the announcement of 7th Pay Scale, the employees were protesting against the demand for uneven wages and arrears in senior-junior cadres.
- With the announcement of the pay scale, the government did not even release any press release. Thereby, it was not clear to the employees that what benefits were given to them in the pay scale. At the level of Chief Minister's Office, the Finance Department was instructed to issue clarification in this regard.

The maximum limit of gratuity limit of 20 lakh has been increased from 10 lakh to 20 lakh. Those who retire after 1 October, 2017 will get commutation, gratuity and pension on the basis of increased wages. Pay-level has been determined from January 1, 2016 in the pay scale of new pay scale. Grade Pay Pay is based on the initial pay (entry-pay) of 2.57 to 2.72 multiplier.
The rate of increment has been retained at 3% for one increment from July 1. But in the new pay scale, the increase in the basic salary will provide two-and-a-half times more increment than the present. The increase in the salary of the Probationer personnel has been increased from 56 to 85%. Probationers have been included in the New Pension Scheme. Of the total 20%, the government will contribute 10% and the remaining 10% from the Probationers. Their casual breaks have increased.
No reduction of discrepancy
- In the new pay scale, clarification was given in case of salary deduction of employees of 2800 grade pay. It has been stated that in 2013, for Grade Pay 2800 posts, Grade Pay Increase was made in the interest of some employees.

In this, the Grade Pay as well as the basic salary of their Running pay band also got a wrong growth, so that the initial salary fixed at the time of the newly appointed probationer trainee of that time is more than the original salary of senior employees Gaya. This discrepancy has been corrected in the new pay scale.
