The latest report suggests that the Redmi Note 5 will be officially launched in January 2018. From the past leaks, we have a fair idea that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be undergoing a massive change when compared to this year’s Redmi Note 4. The Redmi Note 5 is said to have a big 5.99 inch full view display with 18:9 aspect ratio with thin bezels.

The Smartphone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 630 soc, under the hood. The Redmi Note 5 will likely come in two variants 32GB storage with 3 GB RAM and 64 GB storage with 4 GB RAM. This device is also projected to support dual-sim connectivity with a hybrid SIM tray.

The front camera is expected to support 12 megapixel sensors. However, leaks also suggest that the Smartphone will feature a dual camera setup including 16 megapixel and 5 megapixel sensors. Up front, there might be 5 megapixel cameras. On the software front, this device is said to run on Android Nougat 7.1.2 out of the box. The report further hints that the device will come with 4,000mah battery, and a fingerprint scanner is most likely to sit at the back.

Keeping in mind Xiaomi pricing strategy, rumors suggest that the Redmi Note 5 should cost somewhere in the range of Rs 12,000 when it is launched in India.
