2% Dearness Allowance Hike Cleared For Central Government Employees From January 1 

Dearness stipend for lakhs of focal government representatives and retired people have been climbed by 2 percent. The expansion was endorsed by the Union Cabinet at its gathering led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi tonight. 

It will profit 50 lakh government workers and 61 lakh retired people of the local government and will become effective from 1 January 2018. 

COMMENTSDearness stipend and dearness help are given to workers and retired people to kill the effect of expansion on their profit. 

The current dearness stipend - paid as the extent of the fundamental pay of local government workers or annuity - is 5%.
