Google loses top official to Apple

Apple has procured John Giannandrea, Google's Head of Search and Artificial Intelligence (AI), to lead the organization's Machine Learning (ML) and AI system.

Giannandrea, who played the part of Senior Vice President of Engineering at Google from Amit Singhal in mid-2016, will report straightforwardly to Cook.

"Our innovation must be injected with the qualities we as a whole hold dear... John shares our responsibility regarding protection and our keen approach as we make PCs considerably more quick-witted and more individual," The New York Times cited an email from Cook to his staff as saying.

Gianandrea joined Google in 2010 after the organization procured his startup Metaweb Technologies.

As indicated by arstechnica.com, Apple needs solid ability to enhance its AI and ML endeavors which linger behind its rivals like Amazon and Google.
