Chandrayaan 2 lunar lander Vikram has been situated on the moon's surface and the ground station is attempting to build up contact, news organization PTI cited ISRO boss K Sivan as saying today. ISRO had lost contact with Vikram, one of three parts of the Chandrayaan 2 spacecraft, on Saturday morning while the lander was endeavoring a memorable delicate arriving close to the south post of the moon. The lander prevented transmitting simply 2.1 kilometers from the moon's surface. 


"Indeed, we have found the lander on the lunar surface. It has probably been a hard-landing," Dr. Sivan said, adding that it was vague at this stage if the lander had been harmed. 

News office ANI cited Dr. Sivan as saying the lunar orbiter had taken a warm picture of the lander. 

"... the orbiter has clicked a warm picture of Lander. Be that as it may, there is no correspondence yet. We are attempting to have contact. It will be conveyed soon," he was cited as saying 

As ISRO attempts to reestablish interchanges with Vikram, a senior official was quoted by PTI as saying it might have been "less and less likely" to connection up with the lander. "... the orbiter has clicked a warm picture of Lander. In any case, there is no correspondence yet. We are attempting to have contact. It will be conveyed soon," he was cited as saying.
